Seoul Habits Die Hard
Six weeks and some change after coming home and I’m still trying to shed all the specifically Korean manners and peculiarities I picked up while there. The inclination to remove my shoes when walking inside any building was the first thing to go, though it was curiously strong when I first got back. I still find myself shoeless more often than before.

It seems a though the word meme didn’t exist until recently. To be more specific, it wasn’t the buzz word that it seems to be now, the glowing little bulb of self importance which lights the egos of the collective blogosphere and casts shadows upon the peons who don’t know what GPOYW means.

Puppy Guy: Can you spare some change after you come out?
Me: Sorry man, not tonight.
Puppy Guy: I said after you came out.
Me: Well it'll still be tonight, won't it, asshole?
If you're asking me for money, you should drop the attitude, dick.
People begged for change sometimes in Korea. Of course, I never knew if they were being assholes about it or not.
All By Myself
This might seem awkward since it is in the present tense, but keep in mind most of it was written while still in Korea. It was easier to keep it this way that go back and change everything. Enjoy.
Living by yourself is a bizarre experience. There are things about it I really like; no one telling you to clean, no one in your space when all you want is to be alone, no rules but those you impose...
